The Healer Who Knew Foods That Cure Disease: Nipsey Hussle’s Documentary on Dr. Sebi

Dr. Sebi’s authoritative knowledge of herbs and foods that cure disease accomplished the impossible – which was to heal the incurable.

He was acutely aware of plant-based healing power, and exercised his wisdom deftly.

One must consume life – not Death – to maintain and sustain oneself.

Who Is Dr. Sebi?

Born in Honduras in 1933, Alfredo Bowman was a self-educated man who sought treatment for several chronic health issues, including diabetes and obesity, in the United States. Conventional western medicine was not successful in relieving his ailments.

After finding an herbalist in Mexico who successfully helped him heal, Dr. Sebi set off on a life-long quest to discover how the human body can heal through plants. He became a pathologist, herbalist, biochemist, and naturalist who is said to have treated Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, Michael Jackson, and Eddie Murphy.

The official reason for Dr. Sebi’s death in 2016 is complications related to pneumonia while in police custody.

Who Is Nipsey Hussle?

Nipsey Hussle was born Ermias Davidson Asghedom in 1985, but died only three years after Dr. Sebi.

Hussle exemplified the hustle on which his stage name was based.

He was a hip hop artist who also became a prolific entrepreneur, a real estate investor, and a philanthropist who co-founded a science and technology center for kids.

Every one of these efforts was driven by love for the South L.A. community in which he grew up. Violence was routine and resources few, so Hussle’s altruistic spirit gave him the vision to build and provide for his community.

How Dr. Sebi and Nipsey Hussle Meet

Figuratively speaking, Hussle meets Dr. Sebi through his work.

Somewhere along his travels, he discovered Dr. Sebi and his approach for treating disease. This approach is described on Dr Sebi Cell Food as:

…creating natural vegetation cell food compounds geared for inter-cellular cleansing and the revitalization of all the cells that make up the human body.

Hussle’s interest in Dr. Sebi’s methodology inspired him to add “filmmaker” to his list of accomplishments.

Speaking about why he wanted to highlight Dr. Sebi’s 1995 New York Supreme Court case, Hussle told Breakfast Club Power 105.1 FM:

“I think the story’s important, I think it’s a powerful narrative. If I could say somebody cured aids … and I could show you an example of him going to trial proving in a court to a jury that he cured AIDS, y’all would be interested in it….y’all would look into it … More so than championing his products or explaining his methodology, put some light on that case.”

Nick Cannon Completes Nipsey Hussle’s Work on the Dr. Sebi Documentary

When Nipsey Hussle was murdered on March 31, 2019, the documentary was incomplete.

Nick Cannon picked up where Hussle left off, and the trailer is worth watching:

This Methodology Benefits Anyone Who Wants Better Health

Though there continues to be conflicting opinions over whether Dr. Sebi cured terminal disease, there is one thing that cannot be disputed. His commitment to healing helped him create a methodology which is based on a plant-based alkaline vegan diet.

The diet avoids acid-producing foods that would create mucus buildup in the body. Instead, the protocol encourages cell regeneration by consuming foods and herbs that maintain the body’s alkaline state.

Folks, an alkaline state is ideal for optimal health!

Dr. Sebi’s methodology can be used as a blueprint – a starting point – for anyone who is interested in improving their health with a clean diet.

Below you can download the Nutrition Guide PDF – a list of recommended foods and protocol:

To be completely transparent, I’ve never had the discipline to follow this protocol completely. Thanks to Dr. Sebi’s Nutrition Guide, which I take to be the ultimate word on what foods to consume, I know what I should and should not be incorporating into my diet. I keep the guide in mind when I am trying to steer myself toward better health.

Regardless of what your goals are, it’s always nice to have a wealth of resources on hand to help you make better decisions. Dr Sebi’s work and his resulting guide on nutrition are essential adds to your arsenal of information on exemplary health.

Here are a few items from Dr. Sebi’s recommended food list that can help you start building more alkalinity in your body:

Dr Sebi’s Effect on Patient Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes

Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes was a member of TLC, one of my favorite groups from the 1990s. Dr. Sebi helped treat her for a variety of long-standing maladies. When she finally healed, being free of her afflictions inspired her to publicize her experience with Dr. Sebi. She was well on her way to doing just that before her death in April 2002.

Here, patients who followed Dr. Sebi’s protocol discuss their experiences. And Dr. Sebi himself speaks about treating Lopes:

For more detail about how his protocol benefited her, you can hear Lopes in her own words:
